Also, if someone tries to give you a drink and you look at them and say, “I can’t. I’m a full-blown alcoholic,” they probably won’t ask you again.

Realise why you should stop drinking

If you have a propensity for addiction, you may feel responsible for events that were not your fault. You may turn to alcohol to come to terms with those events, and these feelings may contribute to your addiction, which may be examined in rehab therapy.

We are not always responsible for the events in our lives and their consequences, but we can control how we feel about them.
